Movement Maters is Ubud’s premiere pilates studio.  We bring together an amazing team of highly experienced teachers and offer the highest quality pilates equipment.

We use various Pilates-specific equipment to train the body to achieve core strength, pelvis and shoulder stability, flexibility, post-rehabilitate injuries and postural re-alignment.

  • Balance the strength and flexibility by first isolating the muscles and joints and to assist client in recognizing their movement pattern. Once they are familiar with that, they can then integrate and execute a higher level of movement control.

WHAT IS PILATES?

Pilates is system of mind-body exercise developed by Joseph Pilates (1883-1967).

Pilates is highly functional, safe and effective, which mean you train your muscles with focusing on recruiting them in certain sequences to re-train your movement pattern. Besides toning your muscles and the cardiovascular effects that it could bring, you learn to pay attention to increase your body awareness. Great body awareness contribute to your mindful living.
